Troop 181 has been active on the Main Line since 1921.  In addition to teaching Scout skills, our monthly campout activities include backpacking, biking, canoeing, rock climbing or whitewater rafting, in addition to Council events. We also have a week-long summer camp at Resica Falls or another local Scout facility.


To join our troop, you must be:

 at least 10 years old, currently in the fifth grade, and register on or after March 1

or

at least 10 years old and have earned the Arrow of Light Award

or

at least 11 years old (but not yet 18)

COPE and Climbing Camping Weekend - September 20th - 22nd

We will be camping at the Neshaminy campsite at the Ockanickon Scout Reservation. Scouts and Adults can participate in Low COPE (Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience) as well as other "FUN" outdoor activities such as tower climbing, an aerial obstacle course, and other outdoor activities just to name a few.

Updated Registration Requirements for Adults on Camping Trips

Effective September 1, 2023, all adults staying overnight in connection with a Scouting activity must be currently registered as an adult volunteer (troop leader).  Adult volunteers must register in the position(s) they are serving in.  Registration as a merit badge counselor position does not meet this requirement. 

Use Calendar Sync Function to Stay Connected!

Easily stay connected to the Troop 181 website calendar and get automatic updates. Simply log into the Troop 181 website. On the left hand side  "User" menu click "Calendar Sync". Next - under Calendar Type choose your particular calendar application from the drop down and then click "Create Calendar Feed" at the bottom of the page. Final step - click the iCalendar Feed link and you're done! Simple and easy to do. You're now synced!
